Nagai Kenji
Nagai grew up in Hachioji, a place famous for silks and weaving of brocades for kimonos. His father was a professional weaver, and made dyes from plants from his garden. This profoundly influenced Kenji, and from an early age he began creating his own art work.
Morimura Ray
Originally an oil painter, his works were geometric style abstractions. He turned his hand to woodcut and lino cut print making, creating wonderfully intricate designs and textures, on mulberry bark kozo paper. He hopes to express something spiritual, in a contemporary sense, in his landscape works.
